Valdez got a face full of shaving cream after the 19-inning win over the Reds.

The Reds are still at it. Just moments ago, it was made public that the Reds have traded pitcher Jeremy Horst for IF Wilson Valdez from the Philadelphia Phillies. Valdez got a decent amount of playing time last year (99 games) with 2B Chase Utley missing time due to injury.

As you may remember, it was Valdez who got the pitching win over the Reds last season in that 19-inning game in May. Valdez will turn 34 this season and hit .249/.294/.341 last season. I read on Twitter that the trade could be the first ever that the position player has more pitching wins (1) and the pitcher has better batting average (1-for-1).
