I wrote a piece for Yahoo! about Dusty Baker’s decision on what to do when Chris Heisey returns from the DL. The hitting statistics are not in Heisey’s favor and I can’t imagine he’ll be the everyday starter when he returns. Here are the numbers:

Average On Base Slugging
Chris Heisey . 173 .195 .293
Derrick Robinson .304 .448 .304
Donald Lutz .316 .316 .474
Xavier Paul .276 .391 .431
