The Reds just completed a terrible road trip. In eight games, the Reds went 2-6 to the D-backs, Athletics, and Rangers. The three teams have a combined 0.585 winning percentage, but I still expected more. The Reds were outscored 40-23, but at times, it seemed much worse: the team went 22 innings without scoring a run at one point.
Tomorrow, the Reds take on the Giants in Cincinnati. The Giants snapped a six-game losing streak today, so both teams will be trying to get back on track.
** Johnny Cueto was placed on the disabled list after exiting early on Friday. John Fay of the Cincinnati Enquirer is reporting that Cueto will be out for a few weeks. Hopefully Cueto doesn’t try to rush back.
** Brandon Phillips hasn’t tweeted since June 24, the day before he went on paternity leave for two days.
