The Reds have won seven of their last 10 games. The Reds beat the Cardinals three times, the Dodgers three times, and the Cubs once. As I write this, the Reds are three games back from the first-place Cardinals and are 5.5 games up on the Nationals for the second wild card spot.

I think Reds fans need to accept the idea of a one-game playoff. The Cardinals don’t play any good teams from here on out, and any Reds-Pirates matchups will only determine home field advantage for the wild card game.
